About this book
Three cockatoos. Four St. Louis landmarks. One golden clue card that just won’t stay put.
Jessica has a simple plan: complete the St. Louis Explorer Challenge with her beloved cockatoos and win a well-earned bucket of almonds. But with Boo, Misha, and Sara along for the ride, even a sightseeing trip becomes an adventure.
Boo, a tiny Goffin’s with a talent for opening things he shouldn’t, is always looking for his next opportunity. Misha, a magnificent Moluccan, keeps a protective eye on his little companion—and has a voice that can clear a crowded walkway. Sweet umbrella cockatoo Sara would prefer everything to be a little less frightening, until she discovers that making noise can be half the fun.
From the Gateway Arch to Forest Park, the Missouri Botanical Garden, and the wonderfully strange City Museum, the flock tackles runaway clues, unexpected noises, and irresistible opportunities for mischief.
*Three Cockatoos and the Gateway Clue Chase* is a warm, whimsical short story about friendship, finding courage, and exploring a familiar city with three feathered companions who have ideas of their own.
